So the bottom line is both ISP and Dell is not able to do anything, its the Windows issue that I concluded at this time. Dell did ask for me to send the laptop back but I figured its better to get a new one to see if it was hardware issue and I went back and got the identical laptopįrom Best Buys and they were kind enough to swap the one out for the same model and it did not make any difference, still same issue. Created new name and password but it will not do anything but stuck in 802.11n. I even took down all the other devices and reset the router with ISP help desk and still had issues. Again stuck in 802.11n and will not switch to 802.11ac, all

The Urgent Driver update for this Adapter at Microsoft made by Qualcomm its not working it says it can work in all mode 2.4 and 5.0 per the specs at Qualcomm, but its really not using windows 10. Dell is blaming Windows 10 that came with this laptop. I even uploaded the urgent driver for the adapter and it stopped working so I had to roll back. Shoot and they also checked things out still issues with the Dell. I was told by Dell tech that it was windows issue not Dell or the ISP. I had 2 separate Dell tech access my router and I have other devices connected to the router and no issue.

It seems you already know the laptop's Wifi has 5g but to make sure it's detected see here:
